I am very sorry, but this review is not good at all. I went to the appointment this past Saturday only to find out the dentist (Harvard certified/graduate??) who would be performing the work was not in the office at all. They said he was at a conference. I have learned that when the primary dentist is not in the office they all say (other dental facilities in Los Algodones that I visited...5 total) " the dentist is at a conference"...on a Saturday?? I traveled over 200 miles to go to this scheduled appointment and feel that this was not professional at all. Why would I want to see a different person, who would not supposedly be doing the requried dental work I needed? I have 50% bone loss (perio issues for years), and multiple teeth that are ready to fall out of my mouth. I requested full removal of 28 teeth, bone grafting, temp to perm dentures with possible impants after the full healing process and re-growth of my bone. I always maintained my Perio issues but got ill in 2011 and could not take care of my teeth as I was struggling through severe medical issues...which only made the Perios issues really really bad. I had visited several dentists/surgeons in the U.S., so I knew exactly what needed to be done and what I wanted to have done. The person I met (dentist??), could not speak English and had a translator. The translator could not fully relay what the person was saying! We do not speak Spanish (oops), so we couldn't understand what the person was saying either and he couldn't really understand us at all. The hands on exam was quite nerve racking as the person kept jiggling my teeth and I was so concerned that he was going to dis-lodge them. I almost got out of the chair! There is no need to continually jiggle teeth like mine as it is obvious that they are ready to "fall out". They took no X-rays at all and used a wand to view my teeth on a screen. You cannot see under the teeth (bone loss in the jaw) without X-rays. I did provide 2 sets of X-rays that I had taken in the U.S., so maybe that helped him. I told them what I wanted to have done but the person kept talking about crowning the majority of my teeth and implanting other teeth...what?? You should never crown teeth when you have my type of issues because the new teeth/crowns will only weaken the adjacent teeth. And, when you have my issues, all teeth are affected, so they need to be removed. By removing the teeth, the Perio issues will subside as there will be no bacteria invading the teeth/gumline and lodging themselves under the teeth, int the gums.I presently am on my second round of Antibiotics as my case has become this severe. Anyone with Perios issues knows that any infection can spread throughout your body and this is a very serious concern. Not that this is a big deal, but the receptionist was very blase, as if she was annoyed (was not very welcoming) that she had to work on Saturday. I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, Venezuela, Europe etc... so I realize that other cultures operate differently and are not as " speedy/uptight" as Americans. I am an American so I mean no offense to our people with this statement. The problem with this issue is, if you need to reach the dentist, she is your first point of contact. And, if you want her to "get busy" on your issues/concerns...how fast will she respond? We had her copy some information (5 pages) for the dentist (who was "on a conference") and it took her forever...she is way too slow. I will say that the two men we met were very polite, the facility was very sterile/clean and they wanted to please us. I believe that the major problem was, the dentist was not available, there was a huge language barrier and they wanted (kept talking about) to crown some of my teeth and leave the other affected teeth alone. They gave us several options/pricing and not much of it made any sense at all. We had to ask them several times to price out what we requested to be done. The person drew up a sheet with numbers on it...the price was just ridiculous. The easier route should have been much cheaper than the full blown "package", but it was almost the same price...say what? Anyhow, I did select a very well qualified dentist in Los Algodones and will be having my dental work done this coming Wednesday. He and his staff are very educated, thorough and operate more like a professional office. They did extensive X-rays, pictures, impressions (for temp dentures) and questions...all within 1/2 hour. The technology they use is quite advanced...more-so than the U.S.techniques. I do not feel that they rushed the process, believe they knew what they were looking at and had done many procedures such as mine. Plus...the dentist that is going to do the work...was in the office. The dentist I selected has multiple locations, his father is/was a dentist for more than 25 years and the reviews appear to be quite favorable. Anyhow, good luck with all of your dental issues and do not give up on finding a dentist for your needs ( I spent 2 months on this) If you wish to reach me, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I lost my night guard and needed a replacement. The staff was quick, handled the impression process nicely and I had my new night guards in less than an hour! The dentist also answered several questions I had about the best techniques and tools for cleaning under my bridge.
I love my new bite. Dr. Jiminez did an outstanding job in Feb. when he fixed my bite, which was always bad, replaced my old crowns and gave me a gorgeous new smile!!
Service was prmpt and excellent! I needed a crown that was placed in Feb. to be adjusted (it had a high spot). The staff did their usual excellent job.
27 crowns, 3 root canals, 1 extraction, 2 bridges.
Dr. Jorge is a good dentist. Much better experience with Dr. Jorge then other dentists in Algodones. A bit pricer then other dentists in town, but you get better quality work.
Great office, better then some American dentist offices I have been at. They had a free computer with internet in the lobby which was very nice touch.
Receptionist and one of the dental assistants are from the USA and speak flawless english.
Definitely recommend Dr. Jorge and Circle Dental Group.
