Smiles at Vallarta

I came to Dr. Hernandez for an implant. He examined my teeth and told me that my last root canal was improperly done. My Canadian dentist had cleaned 2 of 3 roots correctly but packed resin over an incompleted root cleanse. I ended up having 3 (painless) root canals in Vallarta before proceeding with my implant. Smiles at Vallarta is the best. Not only is Dr. Hernandez a great dentist, he is an honorable , gentleman who takes pride in doing a job well.

I feel that the pricing is a lot higher than other dentists in Mexico but still considerably lower than in Canada.. Reading reviews and comments from the internet it sounds like the pricing in Mexico can be as little as 25% of that in Canada when you use a good dentist that is not specifically marketing to foreigners and the pricing in this case is about 50-60 % of what it would be in Canada. but the service was good and the Dentist as well...Thanks

I had a great experence at Smiles at Vallarta. My teeth never look better since I was very young. They were very caring and they worked with the time schedule that I had in Mexico. I would recommend them to anybody.

Dr. Hernandez is very good. He's gracious and thorough. After missing 2 appointments due to travel mishaps he arranged to get the endontist back on a Sunday to do my 2 Root Canals. They were next to painless. All appointments were on time and went as long as the good Dentist had informed me. Dr. Hernandez speaks excellent English and filled me in every step of the way. I would definitely go to see him again should the dental necessity come up again. All his billing was a bit informal, but I liked that, and the final total was less than I expected, even with the estimate we had discussed on the phone before I left the States. Dr. Hernandez was also quite diligent in communicating via email (in English) and proved all the forms I needed for work and insurance, in exquisite detail. Pay for your own vacation instead of your US or Canadian Dentist's and go to Mexico for your Dental work. It's well worth the adventure!

I have to admit, I was a little reluctant to go to a dentist in Mexico, but am so glad I did. I was absolutely pleased. Dr. Hernandez was very polite, thorough and easy to communicate with. His staff is equally professional. I had a 4 crown bridge done, a partial and teeth whitening. I am very satisfied with all the work.

I would recommend this clinic to anybody.The work that Dr Hernandez did for me. I have a smile that I wish that I had 20 years ago. I had a lot of bad experiences in the past with other clinics, I talked to Dr Hernandez about this and he assured me he would take care of my needs. I have never been so happy. Dr. Hernandez was wonderful. I visited other dentists in PV before going ahead with treatment. This dentist was the most caring, careful, and courteous.

Dr Hernandez is awesome. We never thought you could have fun at the dentist. We saw him 2-4 hours a day for 2 weeks and he is on our short list of friends. He is clean, gentle and a great dentist.

I was totally pleased with my treatment. I gave it a shot because it was so affordable, and convenient because I was on vacation. Alberto and his crew were very thorough and gentle. I could tell he cares a great deal about maintaining a high standard.

The treatment and Dr. Hernandez and his staff were wonderful. The price was awesome, and the communication and attention I received was up to anyone's standards anywhere in the world!

I am so pleased with this clinic. I had a tooth fall out of my denture. I feel this was caused in part by some work I had done at home just last week. I emailed my dentist at home to see if he had any ideas on what happened, he did not respond for over 6 hours. Dr. Figueroa called me within 15 minutes of my email message for an appointment that morning. He knew immediately what needed to be done. He took impressions that morning and offered to come in at 8:00 pm to complete the work (he had to have a lab make a tooth). I told him I could wait til the morning so he could be with his family. He called the next morning to say he wasn't happy with what the lab had made. I came into his office, and he took my denture to the lab to have them make a perfect match. He came back with the new tooth, and in 30 minutes I was done. He did a beautiful job.

We were both delighted with the services which included a partial, bridges and many crowns. The Doctor was very careful to be sure the fit and bite were correct when making my partial and bridges.

It was better over all work than I've ever had done at any dentist in the states.

I will absolutely return and tell all my friends in Mexico to go to this dentist.

In a casual conversation in 2008, I mentioned to a friend that I was looking for a dentist whom I could trust to do a considerable amount of work I had put off for too many years. This friend who does not give many recommendations almost jumped through the phone line with a strong recommendation: Dr. Alberto Hernandez of "Smiles at Vallarta" in Puerto Vallarta. My friend and his wife had been spending part of the winter there for several years and it turns out that what I thought were his naturally great teeth were owed partly to Dr. Hernandez. I since have had several sessions with Dr. Hernandez and have been so very pleased with the results that I will return again next year for additional work, including a dental implant. I naturally have passed the word to my friends in the States and asked Dr. Hernandez if I could write this brief recommendation for his website. Anyone used to dealing with "dental boutiques" in the States might, at first, find his office to be small; but it is only because there is no wasted space for his equipment, which is at least as up-to-date as any dental office I've visit in the States or Canada. There also is nearby support for diagnostic work, such as panoramic X-rays, and all at very reasonable prices. Most importantly, I must add that it is a real pleasure to deal with Dr. Hernandez: He is very friendly and has a highly professional manner that inspires confidence. Just sit back and let him work.

I visited Dr. Hernandez in Puorto Vallarta in January 2010, after consultation I decided to have four veneers and one fixed bridge. I highly recommend Dr. Hermandez for his professionalism, knowledge and at the same time I enjoyed my stay in Puorto Vallarta.

The clinic and the equipment are very neat and up to date same like in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. In one week during my stay in Puorto Vallarta, Dr Hernandez completed all the work on time and well done.
