I was hugely disappointed with the quality of the work I had done at this surgery. I went in good faith thinking I would have quality work done and save myself a lot of money and have a holiday at the same time. I am very disappointed to have to write such a review. In fact it was only recently when someone asked me about it that they encouraged me to write a review (even though it was 2 years ago I was there) to warn others who are considering it. I spent a few thousand NZ $. Two weeks after I arrived back home a piece of one of my teeth literally fell off. This is one they had put a filling in. Prior to going I had emailed them over an x ray which showed this tooth had severe decay. I don't know if they referred to the x ray at all. Anyhow they put a filling over the decay and I ended up having to go to an endodontist in Auckland (due to it being very decayed, requiring a root canal and an awkward one to work on) this cost me another $1,000 or so. The dental hygenist I went to back here (I hadn't told her where I had been for the work) commented how all the new fillings I had (I replaced all my amagams while in Bangkok with white fillings) were pretty much flat on top, they are supposed to have ridges of some sort, for displacement while chewing (this is my crude understanding of what she said). She said this was dentristry 101. when I emailed the main thai dentist who did the work, she didn't reply, then I emailed her again and she said to come back and see them so they could look at it. Unlikely I would ever go back as I would not trust the results. Again I was hugely disappointed with the results.
"Thank you to all the staff & dentists & nurses at Thantakit dental surgery. Everyone was/is very kind & gracious. It was very ""V.I.P."" to be able to be picked up & delivered to my guesthouse and to be welcomed like an old friend. Very quick & efficient & competent care & I am very pleased with the results.
Thank you all very much.
Your service is ""WORLD CLASS""."

Sawadee Khrap,
I have no problem with you using the results of Dr. Ken’s work on my teeth as a showcase of his skills.
“Dr. Ken did a tremendous job the entire treatment of my orthodontics. Dr. Ken, explained to me every step of the treatment and what I was to expect. I received excellent treatment and customer service from the entire clinic. Thank you to Dr. Ken for making my teeth straight and obtaining confidence in my smile. Dr. Ken is a top notch Orthodontist and I highly recommend his service.”
Thanks
"Dear Dr. Thiti Sirikrai,
I would like to say how delighted I am with the result of the work you have done on my front teeth.
Now, I finally have the “Perfect Smile” I have dreamed of for years.
Thank you very much for all your kind efforts.”"
"Dear Sirs,
I have been a patient for almost one year now and have been very pleased with every detail of the services your dental clinic has provided to me. From my first consultation with Dr. Sirikrai to the completion of all the dental work, I found your treatments to be first rate and very reasonably priced. Your entire team is well educated, well trained, and very professional. Your facility is clean, modern, and equipped with the most up-to-date equipment.
Today I came for a routine check-up. The service was fast and efficient. And being able to book appointments via the internet is very convenient.
As a long time resident of Thailand, I assure you that I will continue to rely on your services and will gladly refer friends and colleagues to your clinic."
Dear Dr Thara,
I am so happy I chose Thantakit International Dental Centre to resolve my dental problems. Let me explain why I have been so satisfied.
I am impressed with the way you quickly determined what my dental problems were and then gave me a written plan of how you would deal with this. The price was indicated at the outset and you adhered to both the plan and the price which was reasonable.
I am fascinated by the speed with which your work was done. Implants done for me including sinus lift and bone grafting have been painless and made to look easy. The dental aesthetics were superb.
I am also impressed with your prompt response to my several email enquiries. These replies came the same day or at the most the following day. This enabled me to arrange my travel plans to Bangkok quite easily.
The quality of dental care for your patients brings credit to the reputation of Thantakit International Dental Centre and your father’s pioneering work in dentistry in Thailand which goes back to the 1970s.
"Your service is very good.
Your doctor is also gentle and give more advice to me."
Fast, excellent service. Painless. Great results. Excellent facilities.
"In all, I had the best service from the beginning to the end. Not to mention, Dr. Thara Sirikrai's excellent professionalism. He was simply very reassuring on the day of my surgery and he did!! Thank you very much Dr. Thara! See you again in 3 months time! I know where I can get painless dental services. Cheers!
With best regards, "
I just received unexpected service as top of the range. I have lots of of appreciation for all the staff and doctors, and my best wishes to all.
"I attended Dr. Thara to have a double implant. On each occasion I attended the clinic the service that I received was of the highest professional standard from Dr. Thara and his staff.
I would be very happy to recommend the services of Dr. Thara to anyone seeking similar treatment."
"Hello Dr. Thara en staff,
After my beautiful 6 month trip around Asia I’m ready a few months back in the Netherlands. And I still haven’t sent my special thanks to all of you for the great treatment in your clinic. Last March 2008 you took care of 4 crowns on my implants. I haven’t had any problems and everybody in my surrounding is positive about the natural look and also curious about the way it works.
Anyway, my aunt needs some new teeth as well, so I recommended your clinic to her. So that’s why I remembered you and had to send you all, my special thank even though it’s been a while already.
Maybe we’ll see each other again.
And thanks for everything!"
"“Apres avoir “selectionne” la Clinique Thantakit parmis d’autres a Bangkok, je dois confesser que mon choix fut le bon. L’accueil, la qualite des soins, le “rendu final”, le suivi ont ete parfaits.
Je suis satisfait du resultat et recommande cette Clinique a ceux qui, comme moi, sont presses et ont envie d’un resultat efficace et durable.
Merci au docteur et a son equipe.”"
"2 new crowns - and very happy with them.
I contacted Thantakit (and other clinics) for more information to get my teeth fixed. Thantakit were the first one to respond to my emails, moreover very accurately and detailed.
They are maybe a bit more expensive but the service (giving info, pick-up service, communication) is top. The treatment went without problems, and within the limited timeframe I had in Bangkok. And to high professional standard as far as I can judge. "
"When I arrived in Bangkok, my denture was in a dramatic condition: bad attachment and inferior quality caused movements of the teeth so that I couldn't eat all the food (wished).
Dr. Thara and Dr. Kukkong could solve all the problems. They placed implants and a new crown that fitted perfectly."
"I come to Thantakit clinic since 2004 for teeth cleaning, fillings and I just had a crown done. I can highly recommend it for their excellent service and the staff and various dentists are very friendly!
The work is of very high quality for very competitive price."
"Thantakit Dental Center is for me, an expat of 38 years in Thailand, the very best you could expect. A smiling reception, perfect English, and of most importance a very efficient, experienced, up to the latest standard of dental knowledge trained doctors.
I can honestly and deeply recommend!"
"Porcelain Crown-Bridges, Zoom2 Tooth Whitening
I am very satisfied with the treatment here. The dentist and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is really worth the price. I come back another time.
With Regards,"

Hello, I had 2 implants done at Thantakit and it was disastrous. The metals used reacted with my gold tooth and caused electrical conductivity through my skull and massive headaches that put me out of service for a month. I called Thankakit for help and they clammed up and didn't want to know. The manager said they didn't have to do anything that they didn't want to and the dentist didn't want to remove the implant. I was told it was because it would make him liable if he did for the bad job. I flew to Bangkok to see the manager and he said he wasn't there but when I went to the clinic he was sitting in his room. If you paid me 5 million dollars I wouldn't go and have the treatments... ! be careful. Had to pay same price again at different dentist to remove the implants and numerous cranio sacral and other treatments to try to correct the terrible jaw and head pain. That's my personal experience... ugh never again.
Hi, this is the manager of Thantakit International Dental Center. Ms. Suzy Dior informed us that she had pain after we installed two crowns on implants for her. So we first assumed that the crowns were too high and need some adjustment as a regular procedure for prosthodontic treatment which may require follow-up appointment for any necessary adjustment. So we always asked her to return to us every time she contacted us for adjustment. We even told her that we would make new crowns for her if needed without charges since we have a guarantee period on our prosthodontic and implant work. However, she decided to have the crowns removed by a Bali dentist and asked us to send the healing abutments to that dentist to protect the implants. We sent the abutments to her and again asked her to return to us at any time she could so that we can rectify the crowns. After the crowns were removed, she told us that she still had that pain, so the problem should not be from that electrical conductivity as she claimed. Then she told us that her holistic/natural therapist suggested her that the pain is from the implant posts which are made of metal, so she was suggested to have all metal implants removed from her jaw. She then wanted our dentist to remove them, but we disagreed with her opinion and still wanted to work on her crowns because we believed that the crowns should be the real cause. She said to us that not from the crowns but from the implants. However, she had these two implants in for many months before having the crowns installed on the implants. She once told us that the implants were not the problem since they have been there for months. Today she came to our office and asked for a money refund which is higher than what she have paid to us. The reason she gave us is that we made improper crowns causing electrical conductivity though her skull, even though she and her therapist always said that it was from the implants. This type of crown (PFM) has been used in over thousands of our patients over past decades without a problem of electrical conductivity. Our practice has been operating since 1945, and this is the first time we experience this kind of patient. Also, if she paid us 10 million dollars we would not accept her as a patient.
