The price that dentures cost in Cancun will allow you to have a vacation in the resort for the same price, or even less than you would pay a dentist at home just for your dentures.

Wouldn’t it be great to relax in style knowing you’ve saved all that money, or at least spent it on a vacation by the Mexican coast?

Is Getting Dentures a Suitable Procedure for Dental Tourists?

Yes. In fact, many dental treatments are good options for dental tourists, from simple check-ups and cleanings to root canals, implants and bridges. The procedure for dentures takes two or three appointments with the dentist, which gives you lots of time to spend indulging in activities and events.

Your first appointment should be arranged toward the beginning of your holiday so you can have an assessment, x-rays and impressions of your mouth, which will be sent to the laboratory where your dentures are made. Once your dentures have created, you can return to have them fitted. This is normally within a few days, but it is best to stick around for a few days afterward in case you need any minor adjustments.

If you also need extractions then you won’t be able to have your permanent dentures fitted immediately. Instead, healing dentures will be given to you, which are lighter, and allow the gums to heal. You will then need to return after around three months (or whenever you choose) to get your permanent dentures. So, it’s a fine excuse for another trip to Cancun.

If you only want one trip then it’s best to have the extractions performed by your dentist at home, then travel to Cancun at least three months later for your permanent dentures.

Why Else is Cancun a Good Choice?

Cancun is the ultimate vacation location, with endless white sandy beaches, but also plenty of other activities, including snorkeling, fishing and diving. On the Yucatan Peninsula, there are also other unique attractions to explore, such as the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza, or the cenotes–subterranean mineral-rich pools where you can soak to your heart’s content. As an established resort, Cancun has all the amenities you’d want, including great restaurants, hotels, shopping and, of course, nightlife.
