Excellent experience.

You may know the saying that every theater begins with the coat checkroom. So it is true that every office begins with the reception desk. The receptionist at the Coral Dental Center in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, is Yrene Reyes. Her assistance in scheduling, communication (both verbal and via email), and her advice on tourism in Mexico for patients from all over the world are precious. She is always professional, timely, intelligent, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. Her ability to speak and write in English has improved over the last three years. She has achieved fluency in English and can speak and understand German and French. It is proof of her talent and hard work. I cannot stop admiring Yrene’s natural feminine charm, politeness, tact and kindness. The pleasure of dealing with Yrene was a big factor in my coming back to Coral Dental and becoming a faithful patient since I first visited the center three years ago. The high quality of dental care and the attentiveness and promptness given by the team of doctors in the Coral Dental Center significantly exceeds the care I received over 14 years in the western suburbs of Chicago. In Autumn 2014 I started planning my visit to Coral Dental after my dentist in Wheaton, IL, failed to successfully replace two crowns. He had made three unsuccessful attempts during a three-month period. I addressed the problem to the Coral Dental dentists in September 2014 during my two-week stay in RIU Palace Mexico, but it was clear that two weeks did not allow enough time to complete the dental care I needed. So I decided to come back to Playa Del Carmen to seek high quality dental care and to spend one month away from the Illinois winter. During 30 days in February 2015 I had a bridge consisting of three units replaced, two root canals re-treated, two crowns replaced and teeth cleaning. The work was done by different doctors in the same office who specialize in specific fields I required. After the old crowns were removed X-rays showed that I needed to have two root canals redone. The appointments were scheduled for my convenience and did not disrupt my vacation plans. Coral’s professionalism, attentiveness, convenience, modern equipment, sterility and friendly atmosphere are unbeatable. I am absolutely satisfied with the quality of work that I had long been looking for and that finally provided comfort in my mouth. The office is open 6 days a week. The Center is conveniently located on one of the major streets, Constituyentes Avenue, in the vicinity of Scotia Bank, Mega and other supermarkets (Walmart, DAC), close to 30th street and public transportation and within walking distance of 5th Avenue. The WiFi in the office is fast and reliable. I paid 16,500 MXP for the one fixed bridge consisting of three units, 3,500 MXP for one molar root canal, 2,700 MXP for one premolar root canal, and 11,000 MXP for two metal fused porcelain crowns. When planning your dental care you should allow some extra time for the unexpected, like treating or re-treating root canals, for example. Also, when discussing your dental needs with them you should be aware that the tooth numbering system in Mexico differs from the system in the United States.
