Part of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS)—Thailand's largest private healthcare group—the internationally accredited Bangkok Hospital Samui is located in the popular resort area of Chaweng on Thailand’s famed Koh Samui island. Founded in 2004, this acclaimed facility has a capacity of approximately 50 beds with more than 25 highly trained doctors and dental specialists predominantly treating patients from abroad.
In fact, more than 60 percent of Bangkok Hospital’s patients are foreign nationals, many of whom fly here specifically to save on high-quality treatments at the hospital’s dedicated dental center, such as implant procedures, veneers and other smile-design solutions.
The dental center here has received official accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI), a US-based organization that’s considered the gold standard for top-tier healthcare service providers around the world.
All dental surgeons at Bangkok Hospital Samui are fluent in English and are members of the Dental Association of Thailand. Several have undertaken training overseas in the UK and US, such as Dr. Boonsang Ngamsirimas, a specialist in periodontics with an MSc from the University of London, 1998; and Dr. Tharatorn Thanalapsakun, an experienced orthodontist who graduated from New York University in 1997.
The team also includes general dentist Dr. Pornlert Tantasuvannalert; Dr. Sirida Arunjaroensuk, an oral surgeon and implantology specialist; and Dr. Supaporn Metheethakerng, all of whom have gained their Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the top two universities in Thailand, namely Chulalongkorn and Mahidol.

This is hands down the best hospital I have ever been to. I was able to book an appointment same day with a cardiologist who was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. I was extremely impressed with his bedside manner. All of the nurses who helped me today were friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke great English which was a huge plus for me. The prices were extremely reasonable. I was also very impressed by how clean and nice the building was. I genuinely was blown away by the level of care I received.
I personally think this is the best hospital on the island considering some waiting times for payment or seeing doctor. It has a good parking space on the back and a small coffeeshop inside.
Highly recommend the hospital. Felt in good hands. Everyone speaks English well. But a little more expensive - health comes first.
