มกราคม 2016Do NOT go to Dr. Jorge Cortez. He cares more about the number of people in his office than he does the quality of care he gives. My boyfriend needed some dental work so I thought I may as well get my old fillings replaced since its so cheap. During the consult he talked me into getting 3 crowns instead of new fillings "then i never have to worry about them again'. I agreed, signed the documentation and thats when he disappeared... He did the work on my boyfriend in the other room and had his extremely Rude, un certified assistant work on me. I trusted them, i trusted him to put my perfect mouth in the hands onf someone else.. so I didnt say anything. while 'Prepping" me for my crowns: - she had a total of 4 staff members hands in my mouth because her hands were tired of holding the moulds. -Her gloves were so dirty, particles were falling onto my face. - She cut my gums and cheek several because she was trying to speed up the process and didnt want to stay late. - she drilled my tooth down so far that she damaged the nerve on all 3 teeth. - Because she let everyone put their hands in my mouth, i developed a very painful infection in my gum line - Because she was not taking her time, she made the moulds an improper size, causing a temporary crown to fall out 1 hour after leaving the facility. Which caused my tooth and nerves to be exposed for 2 days! 2 days later when we returned to get the permanent crowns replaced i was a nervous disaster. I told Dr.Cortez that I did not want her anywhere near my mouth. He complied and finished the job himself, but I knew it was too late and the damage that will cause me to spend all my savings and the next 3 months at the dentist back home has taken full effect. Dr. Cortez told me that my mouth will be perfectly fine and not to worry. Of course he did, we were leaving the country the very next day. Since I left his office: - My flight home was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. I literally felt like my teeth and jaw were going to explode out of my mouth. - I have had to have 2 root canals, one being an emergency root canal that took 5 visits due to the damage that Dr.Cortex's assistant did to me. - I have spent $900 USD at his office and $4675 CAD fixing their damage. - I went from never having tooth pain in my life, to only eating soft foods, extreme migraines, pain medication. and a complete life change. I have tried to reach out to Dr..Cortez and the only response he could give me was "you signed the waiver, you agreed to potential risk".. Which is correct, but never in my mind would I have thought this could happen to me. I trusted him and his staff, I did my research and I will regret this for the rest of my life. I cant workout I have taken so much time off work My relationship has struggled because of it. and my hard earned savigs are down the drain.. Please, do your research and then some more, and DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR DR.CORTEZ!
