My daughter had gone to Dr Ong at NTUC Denticare Orchard to get braces done in 2022 and had completed 4 visits before we were informed on 25 Nov 2022 that Dr Ong will be going on MC in Jan for 3 months. A final adjustment appointment was scheduled on 11 Jan 2023. However, 3 days before the appointment, the clinic called to inform that Dr Ong is already on MC and will only be returning in May, The extended MC means my daughter has no adjustments for 6 months from her last adjustment date in Nov 2022. This long delay means she cannot complete her 16 months treatment schedule by Dec 2023. She will be leaving for Australia for studies in early Jan 2024, making it impossible to continue with her treatment beyond this year. I requested the calling nurse to arrange a covering orthodontist either temporarily or permanently. It hasbeen more than 2 months but no one bothers to give me an answer. I have called twice to check but was told both times there is only 1 orthodontist in the whole Denticare group, so they need to wait for Dr Ong's reply. It is really appalling that a big healthcare group like NTUC does not even have covering arrangements nor do they care about their patients. My advice is DO NOT GO TO NTUC DENTICARE FOR DENTAL SERVICE AS THEY ARE TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL
