When people think of dentures, they probably imagine an acrylic prosthetic device holding a row of “false teeth” that sit over their gums. These are known as “traditional dentures,” and are the most common, least expensive teeth replacement method for edentulous patients, particularly senior citizens.
As well as traditional acrylic dentures, our clinics in Madrid offer a range of other options that can be used to replace all or multiple missing teeth either in the upper, lower or both jaws. These include:

Why Go Abroad for Dentures?
Regardless of the type you need, the main reason to visit Madrid for new dentures is the potential savings on offer, with prices between 50% and 70% lower than in the UK.
While dentures are often subsidised back home, costs can quickly add up given the fact that dentures need to be replaced every 5–8 years.
Another factor to consider is the waiting times to see your dentist, or lack thereof, in Madrid. While waiting times are now at an all-time high in the UK to see an NHS dentist, patients can often book an appointment in Spain almost immediately.
How Long Will I Need to Stay in Madrid?
In general, patients will need to visit their chosen dentist in Madrid at least two times: the first for a consultation and impressions to be taken; the second for the fitting of the newly-made dentures, with any adjustments being made as necessary.
The waiting period between each appointment will depend on the type of denture being made; the manufacturing process will also be much faster if the clinic has an in-house dental laboratory and specialist prosthodontists.
In cases where a patient requires extractions, a “healing denture” will normally be fitted, allowing the gums to heal. The patient would then need to return to Madrid several months later for the final denture to be made and fitted.
Typically, the entire process can take five to seven days. Feel free to ask our Customer Care Team for more information as to how long you’ll need to stay in Madrid.
On average, full acrylic dentures cost approximately EUR €500 (GBP £430) in Madrid.
Dentures with porcelain teeth cost approximately twice this amount.
