Beyond Dental Aesthetics’ two joint-owners are experts in a number of fields, having undertaken continuous training over the years. Chief Dentist Laura Costanzo Pascual has been in practice since 2002 and holds a Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Public Health, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education Management.
Notably, their treatments are based on biomimetic dentistry, whereby a highly scientific approach is adopted for the preservation of patients’ natural gum tissues, as well as keeping the structure of each tooth intact (without automatically resorting to crowns) while restoring the function and biomechanics of natural teeth.

January 2023In late 2022 I began looking for a dentist in Guadalajara. I ended up being referred to BEYOND DENTAL AESTHETICS by Dental Departures.I had seen dentists in the US and I felt that because of the expense and amount of damage, extractions and 4 on one both upper and lower would be the best route. I was referred by DENTAL DEPARTURES to Dr. Laura Costanza at BEYOND DENTAL AESTHETICS who convinced me that many teeth were salvageable and with root canals,crowns, 6 implants and veneers I would have a great outcome. I can provide further detail if you are interested but let me just say : I first flew to Guadalajara in January 10, 2023..15 months later, after spending $408-449 for air fare for 3 trips $379-519 for hotels 3 times, numerous Ubers, 2 full mouth ex-rays ($76-100usd, they don't have this equipment in their clinic) . After enduring surgery without anesthesia, I insisted I must have sedation . I had to pay over $1500 USD for the next two 'trips' sedation in a different facility. This was not included in the $18,800 I paid BEYOND DENTAL AESTHETICS. Ultimately , I left my 3rd 'treatment' with 2 implants. The doctor told me they had to remove 2 previously placed front implants and I had none any of the other implants, including because the earlier bone graft had failed and there was a 'spacing' problem. After spending 3 weeks over 9 months and at minimum $23000, I had 2 implants and was leaving my 3rd expensive visit with a very unnatural appearing partial on my missing two front teeth, 2 teeth missing on both my top and lower arches, bottom front veneers they'd redone (because they had come off within days of application while I ate jello) that were thick and unnatural looking. In the ensuing months the veneer on my upper right bicuspid has come off leaving a glaringly dark contrast to the adjacent veneer and preventing me from smiling. Worst, the lower middle 3 teeth with the blocky veneers are increasingly receding back from my other teeth giving me a bulldog-like under bite. (Dr. Laura's response? "You said they were fine when done"?!? Before they receded back from the rest of my teeth!). At the end of my disastrous 3rd visit, Dr. Laura 'apologized' for this unforeseen problem . She said she would pay for my flight and hotel to return in JANUARY and fix everything beautifully. I left numb. Yesterday I contacted her. She NOW says my 4 implants and crowns can all be done beautifully in 2 more trips and for $6000 usd more! I will pay for the first trip and she will pay for the last. Like she promised to pay in January ? Sure. I have several friends who have had 4 on 1's and full mouth restorations in Cancun and Algodones. None ever made more than 2 trips, paid over (at most) $14,000. All the work looks good and they are very happy. I am not against getting dental work done in Mexico.But be very careful. in my experience you should absolutely avoid any dealing with Dental Departures and certainly Dr. Laura Costanza at BEYOND DENTAL AESTHETICS in Guadalajara.

Then, on a 5th trip, she will pay for my flight and they will place the crowns and I will have a beautiful smile. My mouth is an embarrassment. I know several people who have had great implants and restorations done in Mexico. None ever made more than 2 trips or spent over $16000 at most. For $32000 I could have had the work done here in the US . She has cost me over $23000 and my mouth is a humiliation. I don't know if she is incapable or unwilling to do quality work for fair prices. I know she was not honest with me and I was foolish to trust her. I don't want anyone else to endure what BEYOND DENTAL AESTHETICS has done to me. I am 64 and can't afford to fix the mess she was happy to leave me with. I don't even want to leave my home. I have no hope for myself but I don't want anyone else to suffer what BEYOND DENTAL AESTHETICS has done to me.
