Expect bilingual coordination, clear quotes and timelines, and step-by-step aftercare. Many cosmetic and restorative plans finish in a few days. Implant treatments are typically two-stage: placement, healing, and final teeth. Sending recent X-rays or CT scans before you travel helps confirm options and compress chair time.
Fly to Tucson International Airport, TUS, or Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, PHX, then drive to the DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales, Arizona. Most visitors park on the US side, walk across, and are met by the clinic on the Mexico side.
Typical drives: Tucson to the border is about 1 hour 15 minutes; Phoenix to the border is about 2 hours 45 minutes.
Your advisor can share the GPS pin, crossing tips, and nearby hotels with short, predictable rides.
Your Dental Departures advisor can lock in quotes, confirm availability, and sequence back-to-back appointments around your flights free of charge.
The clinic lists 3-year warranties for eligible lab-made restorations, including crowns, veneers, and fixed bridges, and implant components. Coverage usually requires following written aftercare, attending maintenance visits, and using protective devices, such as a night guard, if prescribed. Before treatment, Dental Departures can provide the current written warranty for your exact plan, including what is covered, exclusions such as smoking or missed recalls, time limits, and how repairs or replacements are handled.
The practice is in Nogales, Sonora, near the DeConcini Port of Entry. Most patients park in Nogales, Arizona, walk across the border, and are met by clinic staff for an escort to the office. From Tucson International Airport, it is about 1 hour 15 minutes to the border. From Phoenix Sky Harbor, plan about 2 hours 45 minutes. If you prefer to drive in Mexico, local parking and taxis are available. Your advisor can send the exact GPS pin and wayfinding notes.
Cash and major credit or debit cards are commonly accepted, and larger plans may allow bank transfers. The clinic supports most US dental insurance for out-of-network reimbursement and provides itemized invoices. Dental Departures can confirm accepted card brands, any processor fees or cash-discount policies, and whether a deposit is needed to reserve lab or surgical blocks.
Spanish and English are spoken. The front desk and clinical teams are fully bilingual. Tell Dental Departures your preference when booking so they can schedule with an English-speaking dentist or assistant and prepare bilingual consent and aftercare documents.
Most implant plans are two-stage. Stage 1, implant placement with or without bone graft or sinus lift, typically fits into 2–4 days with a short review. Stage 2, the abutment and final crown, bridge, or full-arch restoration, occurs after healing, also called osseointegration. If grafting is required, overall timelines extend. Your coordinator can map visits to your travel window and discuss temporary or provisional teeth for comfort during healing.
Often, yes. Plan 2–5 days for root canal therapy to control infection and place a post or core if needed, plus 2–3 days for a permanent crown. Many travelers wear a high-quality temporary while the final crown is milled. Your dentist will confirm exact steps and chair time before you fly.
Yes. Border meet-and-escort is available. Share your arrival time and crossing, usually DeConcini, and a staff member will meet you on the Mexico side and guide you to the clinic.

The best clinic I ever been! They have the latest technology, the staff is friendly, Dr Cantú is very professional. I had a crown done and it looks very natural They have their own dental lab and they have quality technology. Sincerely is a full service clinic. They meet you at the border and escort you to the clinic, dont be afraid to come to México it is safe come down here.
I learned about Dental Arts through their Instagram stories. I did my research for a couple of weeks, and I am glad that I decided to start my treatment with Dental Arts. Their staff was very friendly and informative. I even love how flexible they are with payment plans and their services are very affordable. I totally recommend any of their clinics.
So discovered “Dental Tourism” about a year ago and was a little skeptical about crossing the border for any dental work let alone surgery. I could not be happier with my experience at Dental Arts. From the moment I called and spoke with Jess and walked into there office, I was treated with respect and dignity. Dr Cantú is a true professional in every sense of the word. Completely transformed my smile and confidence for the better. And did I mention the price, getting the same procedure in the states I would have had to sell a kidney to afford. Not at Dental Arts, for only a fraction of the price, I believe I got far superior work on my implants. Will be coming here for any further dental work I might need in life, even if its just a cleaning. 10/10
THE VERY BEST DENTAL CLINIC I'VE EVERY VISITED. Dr. Davis has a wonderful manner and gave me an option to save a tooth with a crown when I thought a much more expensive insert was necessary. Front office with Jesse and her colleague is friendly and they speak excellent English. The whole place operates on time and gives a feel of confidence and professionalism. This is the second dental office I've used in Nogales...and it will be the last. They really are FIVE STAR!
I called from Tucson on a Saturday to inquire about an implant for my front tooth. Jessie, who answered my call, said they could work me in on Monday morning at 10:00. Upon arrival, I noticed how clean and modern the office is. Before seeing the Doctor, or even discussing potential fees, I had a comprehensive x-ray. Soon I was taken to a dental suite and Dr Cantu Davis thoroughly examined and took the measurements necessary for an implant. We discussed the entire process, timing, and the complete cost of the implant. Since it is my top front tooth, I asked him how soon we could begin. Even though there were several people in the waiting room, the Dr agreed to begin right then because it is my FRONT TOOTH. He finished the initial step in about 45 minutes. Painlessly. So far so good! I'll report on the next phase of the process!
