Hernandez Dental Clinic provides comprehensive care in Nuevo Progreso, just 3 blocks from the International Bridge. Established in 1989, the clinic treats international patients across implants, crowns and veneers, root canals, dentures, orthodontics, and everyday family dentistry. Patients rate the clinic for friendly bilingual service, consistent results, and convenient access from Texas. Perks include free border shuttle and hotel transfers, international phone calls, and in-clinic Wi-Fi to keep you connected.

Most visitors park on the US side in Progreso/Weslaco, walk across the bridge, and take a short local taxi to the clinic. Uber and Lyft work well to US-side parking; on the Mexico side, use local taxis or the clinic’s free shuttle when available.
Dental Departures Customer Care can confirm availability, assemble a written estimate, and sequence back-to-back appointments around your flights—at no extra charge.
Warranties are usually procedure-specific and most often cover lab-made restorations, such as crowns, veneers, bridges, and dentures, and, where stated, implant components for a defined period. To remain eligible, you must follow written aftercare, attend maintenance visits as advised, and use protective devices such as a night guard if prescribed. Before treatment, your advisor will obtain the clinic’s current written warranty for your exact plan, including what’s covered, the duration, exclusions, and how repairs or replacements are handled.
The practice sits in Nuevo Progreso, roughly 3 blocks from the Progreso International Bridge. Most travelers park in Progreso/Weslaco, Texas, walk across, and take a brief taxi or use the clinic’s free border shuttle to the door. If you’re flying, McAllen International Airport is closest, about 25–35 minutes to the bridge, with Harlingen and Brownsville also convenient. We’ll share the GPS pin, recommended parking, walking route, taxi stand tips, and shuttle pickup details.
Border clinics commonly accept cash and major credit/debit cards; some larger treatment plans may allow bank transfers. Because accepted card brands, processor fees, and potential cash-discount policies can change, your advisor will confirm the exact accepted methods for your dates and whether a deposit is required to reserve lab or surgical time.
Spanish and English are spoken at the clinic. Bilingual reception and chairside support are available, and your consent and aftercare can be prepared in English on request. Tell us your preference during booking.
Most implant plans are two-visit treatments. Visit 1 covers diagnostics and implant placement, plus any bone graft or sinus lift, typically organized in 2–4 days with a short review. After healing, also called osseointegration, Visit 2 places the abutment and final crown or bridge. If grafting is required, total timelines extend. Your coordinator will align visits to your travel window and discuss provisional teeth during healing when appropriate.
Often, yes. When a post/core and a permanent crown are included, plan approximately 4–7 days. Many travelers wear a high-quality temporary while the final crown is fabricated. Exact timing depends on the tooth, infection control, and lab steps; your written plan will show the sequence and review visit.
With notice, the clinic can organize x-rays, including single and panoramic images, and a same-day consultation, so you can review options, costs, and timelines in one visit. Sending recent images and medical/dental history ahead of time speeds planning and can reduce total visits.
Yes. The clinic lists free border shuttle and hotel transfers for patient convenience, subject to scheduling. When we book your visit, we’ll confirm pickup points, times, and return arrangements and include them in your itinerary.

Never use this clinic awful work,I did crown and it broke 2 times they deal with a cheap lab, and they also tried to keep the money that I paid in a deposit though they didn't do the work, I managed to deal with them and returned some of the deposit, but they scammed me by 20 $ though I told Efrain the one responsible for the office that I will share my experience with my fellow Americans and that's bad for their reputation but they didn't care. So please be careful not to experience what I had passed through.
They informed me of my options and helped me make a plan to repair my neglected teeth. they never shamed me, just helped me and at a price I could afford. This clinic and Dr H came highly recommended and I agree. They are Great!
Very impressed
Great people. I go down there once a year with my family to get work done. Safe, clean, friendly. I won't go anywhere in the US again. And the shopping down there is great.
Have to go back tomorrow for final work, but satisfied with temporary until finished. Very friendly professional work.
