About Pacific Dental Tijuana

Pacific Dental Tijuana welcomes local and international patients for preventive, cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry in Baja California.

The clinic pairs experienced dentists with modern technology, like digital X-rays and CAD/CAM, which stands for computer-aided design and milling, to deliver efficient, predictable care. Patients also find a simple cross-border journey from San Diego via the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

Why Choose Pacific Dental Tijuana?

  • Team you can trust: The clinic is led by Dr. Torres and a team of board-certified doctors.
  • Training & licensing: Doctors are described as licensed to practice in both Mexico and the United States, with advanced education mentioned at institutions such as Harvard, Loma Linda, and USC.
  • Modern tech: Digital X-rays and in-house CAD/CAM help shorten visits and improve fit for crowns, bridges, and veneers.
  • Range of care: From routine cleanings and teeth whitening to root canals, crowns, veneers, dentures, implants, and full-arch rehabilitation.
  • Reputation: The clinic notes appearances on TV in Mexico and the U.S., reflecting strong name recognition in Tijuana.

Treatments & Technology

Pacific Dental Tijuana provides general checkups, cleanings, fillings, and gum therapy; cosmetic options like teeth whitening, veneers, and crowns; and restorative solutions including root canals, bridges, dentures, and dental implants, including single-tooth and full-arch options.

CAD/CAM enables same-week ceramics in many cases, while digital imaging assists with diagnosis and implant planning. If any technical term is unclear, the team explains it in everyday language so you always know what is next.

Location & Getting There

The clinic is in Tijuana, Baja California, a short trip from the San Ysidro Port of Entry. Many travelers park on the U.S. side, walk across, and ride the last leg.

Border & Local Transport Tips

  • From San Diego: From San Diego International Airport, also known as SAN, it is about 25 to 45 minutes by car to the border, plus crossing time. After you cross at PedEast or PedWest, when open, rideshares are plentiful.
  • Rideshares: Uber and DiDi operate widely in Tijuana. Both are commonly used by visiting patients.
  • Driving in: If you prefer to drive, allow extra time for border formalities and parking. Many visitors choose to park near San Ysidro and walk across to simplify logistics.

What to Expect as an International Patient

  • Step-by-step plan: You will receive a treatment plan with estimated timing and number of visits.
  • Bilingual support: The clinic page does not list languages explicitly. Your Dental Departures Advisor can confirm English or Spanish assistance with your quote.
  • Clear budgeting: You will see transparent line items for diagnostics, materials, and lab work in your quote, with no surprises.

FAQs

What languages are spoken at Pacific Dental Tijuana?

Short answer: The clinic page does not specify languages.

More detail: Because the clinic treats cross-border patients, English support is common in Tijuana, but please confirm languages, such as English or Spanish, with Dental Departures when requesting your quote so expectations are clear.

Where is the clinic and how do I get there?

Short answer: Pacific Dental Tijuana is in central Tijuana, minutes from San Ysidro. Cross at PedEast or PedWest and use Uber or DiDi for the final 10 to 20 minutes.

More detail: From San Diego International Airport, head south to the San Ysidro Port of Entry. After crossing, open Uber or DiDi for a quick ride into central Tijuana. Many travelers park on the U.S. side to avoid driving across and then walk to rideshare pickup points.

What treatments are available?

Short answer: General, cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry.

More detail: Services include exams, cleanings, fillings, whitening, veneers, crowns, bridges, root canals, dentures, and dental implants, including full-arch solutions supported by 4 to 8 implants.

Do treatments come with a warranty or guarantee?

Short answer: Ask for the written policy with your quote.

More detail: Warranty terms can vary by material, such as zirconia or porcelain, and lab work. Your Advisor will attach the clinic’s current written warranty so you know what is covered and any follow-up requirements.

What payment methods are accepted?

Short answer: Confirm payment types in your quote.

More detail: Tijuana clinics commonly accept cash and major credit cards, but card policies and any fees differ by clinic. If paying by card, tell your bank you will be in Mexico and check any daily limits or foreign transaction fees.

How many visits will I need?

Short answer: It depends on your plan.

More detail: Cleanings and simple fillings are typically same-day. Crowns and veneers often require a few days for design and fabrication. Implants are usually completed in stages: surgical placement, healing, then final teeth. You will get a timeline before you travel.

Is it practical and safe to get dental care in Tijuana?

Short answer: Thousands do it each month, but plan ahead and use vetted transport.

More detail: Stick to your itinerary, keep documents secure, and use Uber, DiDi, or licensed taxis. Dental Departures can help with scheduling to minimize border waits.

Dr Mora and all the staff at the office are quality #1 Have been to PDI at least 5+ times. Dr Mora talks you through every step of the procedure. The office is state of the art. I was so surprised not knowing what to expect going to Tijuana for dental work. I have recommended Dr Mora and PDI to anybody that's asked. Great service and staff.

his review is for Dr Torres but I would be remiss if I didn't mention that every person in the office from the receptionist to the nurses and two other doctors are absolutely wonderful. I have been having my teeth taken care of in TJ for approximately 20 years and when my previous dentist started talking about retirement around 8 years ago I starting looking for another dentist and with much research found Dr Torres. I have had pretty major dental work along the way with Dr Torres with these latest visits involving eight teeth. I've even had teeth cleanings and one experience that we could call an emergency. It's pretty serious when your body thinks your teeth roots are foreign and decides to destroy them. I trust, respect and find Dr Torres a brilliant dentist who takes everything into consideration from your health to cosmetically and how wonderful you'll look. And if all that weren't enough Dr Torres is a warm, friendly, and welcoming human being who is not judge mental and just a great person.

After having a less than excellent at another TJ doctor I came here. Dr. Mora was and has been so communicative, explaining each step of the process in detail. He fixed the issues brought by the other dentist-I'm totally healed from the implant and just need to go back for the second stage, but I've had no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Dr. Lutz at Pacific Dental Clinic in Tijuana Mexico. I searched the internet for 4 months, (researching countless dental clinics in Tijuana) reading countless reviews; and, finally settled on Dr Lutz at Pacific Dental. The facility may appear run-down from the outside; after all, it is Tijuana. But, the dental practice is top drawer and better than my dentist provided here in the States. I'd go into my horror story, but I won't take the time, or bore you. The clinic has top of the line equipment. They use sanitation practices, same, if not better, as the States. All doctors in the clinic have licences in both the U.S. and in Mexico. They have their own lab for fast and accurate crown, bridges, dentures and partial dentures, (like I got). 3 visits over a period of 4 days and I got x-rays; exam; cleaning; 7 cavities filled; deep cleaning on 3 quadrants; a new permanent crown; and upper and lower partials. I saved 60%-75% over what my 2 dentists here at home quoted. Not only that, but if you pay cash you'll get another 10% discount. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Lutz. He is caring, gentle, knowledgeable, professional, kind and really knows how to put you at ease. I don't like pain. I'm really not a fan. I took some oxycodon with me, just in case. I didn't even need an aspirin after my 3 visits to Dr. Lutz. If you fly into San Diego you can stay at the Best Western Americana Inn in San Ysidro; and, for the medical room rate your van back and forth across the border is free. That was a God sent for me; as I am 73 years old; and, there is no way I can walk almost the one mile needed to across that border. I can barely walk a block without stopping. And, forget the hours standing in line getting back across to the U.S.! That's why Dr Nathan Lutz is my "forever" dentist; and, The Pacific Dental Clinic in Tijuana Mexico, is my new "forever" dental home
