This Dental Departures guide gives you the lowdown on receiving an All-on-6 in the United Arab Emirates, and how you can find the best prices anywhere online with Dental Departures.
While this implant-based teeth replacement method generally requires two short trips to the Middle East, dental tourists can still save thousands overall compared to undergoing the same treatment back home.
Find top dentists in cities like Dubai or Abu Dhabi and see just how much you can save at our partner specialists in the UAE.
Dental implants have always been a versatile, game-changing innovation in the field of dentistry, typically used as artificial tooth roots to replace individual teeth with an adjoining abutment and crown (false tooth).
As the name suggests, an All-on-6 uses six titanium or zirconia implants to support an entire arch of teeth in the form of a fixed, custom-made prosthesis.
It’s a great option for edentulous patients currently wearing dentures, as well as those with multiple missing or failing teeth wanting to completely restore the appearance and function of their smile.
The main advantages of an All-on-6 are:
Only one session of surgery is generally required (insertion of the implants and extractions if required)
The prosthesis is permanent and can last a lifetime
The new arch holds a full set of durable ceramic or porcelain crowns, restoring the function and appearance of the teeth up to 90%
No need to take out and soak every night (unlike dentures)
Dental implants support the surrounding structures of the bone, preventing bone loss
Improved speech, as they won’t slip or fall out
As for the disadvantages? We can only think of one—and that’s the price.
For patients in the US, prices for full-arch implant restorations can cost in the region of $25,000 - $30,000 (per jaw), while the NHS in the UK only subsidizes treatment for dentures, with implant alternatives being seen as more of a luxury.
This is why more and more people are looking at more affordable options abroad, with All on Six prices in the United Arab Emirates approximately 50%-60% lower than you would expect to pay back home.
Another advantage of heading to the UAE is that dentists, particularly those in the country’s most populous city of Dubai, are well-trained and highly-skilled, often having studied at prestigious Western universities and holding professional licenses with organizations like the American Dental Association and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
In the next sections, we look at just how much you can save in the UAE.

In general, you should plan for two trips to the UAE, spending around 4 - 7 days per time (although you may want to stay longer for an extended holiday!)
The second trip will be around 4- 6 months after the first trip, as the implants need time to fuse with the jawbone before the final prosthesis can be manufactured and attached in the UAE. During this time, you will be given a lighter, temporary prosthesis to wear.
The United Arab Emirates is a country bordering the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman; it is made up of seven emirates governed by a monarch or Emir, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain.
The UAE is one of the most liberal countries in the Gulf and is known for its high standard of living thanks to its oil wealth and large financial sector. While it is an increasingly popular holiday destination for foreign visitors, do bear in mind these travel considerations before you go, such as dress codes and general behavior advice when out in public.
Please do note that currently, most of our partner dentists are located in Dubai, particularly those offering advanced implant procedures like an All-on-6.
Remember to check the latest visa/entry requirements for the UAE here. Note: At the time of writing, UK and US passport holders need not apply for an official visa before flying to the UAE.

Dubai, especially, is famous for offering complete luxury and VIP-style service, often at quite a hefty price. However, when shopping around on sites like Booking.com or Expedia, modest 3-star hotel rooms can be found for around $80 a night, or even less when staying a little outside of the city center.
Note: Many of our partner clinics offer free or discounted accommodation packages when booking treatments like an All-on-6 in the UAE. Talk to our Customer Care Team to see how we can make your dental trip more affordable.
The UAE, and Dubai especially, is a land of superlatives: From checking out the largest flower arrangements in the world to shopping in the world’s largest mall to heading up the world’s tallest building (the Burj Khalifa), you won’t be short of memorable things to do here.
That said, with a little more time on your hands, it could be worth heading out of the city and visiting one of the lesser-known emirates, venturing into old villages or embarking on an organized trip into the desert.
